RSSC held a meeting with a professor from Kocaeli University

On April 16, the head of the Department of Civil Engineering at Kocaeli University of Turkey, Professor Tekin Yeken met with the General Director of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Gurban Yetirmishli.

The meeting was attended by Deputy General Director of the RSSC for scientific work, Doctor of Philosophy in the field of technical sciences, associate professor Rauf Muradov, head of the department of Seismology and Physics of the Earth of BSU, Doctor of Philosophy in the field of geology and mineralogy, associate professor Avaz Mammadov and heads of specialized departments of the Center.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation, joint scientific research and participation in scientific projects between the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS, Kocaeli University and the Department of Seismology and Physics of the Earth BSU.

Noting that there is very good bilateral cooperation between Kocaeli University and the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS, RSSC General Director Gurban Yetirmishli said that there are ample opportunities for joint scientific research. He also said that two employees of the Center had undergone an internship at Kocaeli University some time ago, and noted that the exchange of mutual experience is useful in terms of increasing human resources, as well as learning and applying new methods.

Head of the department of Seismology and Physics of the Earth BSU, Doctor of Philosophy in the field of geology and mineralogy, associate professor Avaz Mammadov also emphasized the importance of mutual exchange of experience in terms of conducting joint scientific research and training.

Professor Tekin Yeken, head of the department of Civil Engineering at Kocaeli University, noted that there is great potential for trilateral cooperation and expressed confidence that the meeting will be useful in terms of further expanding cooperation between the parties.

Other issues of mutual interest were also clarified at the meeting.
