A new article by the General Director of the RSSC was published in the Bulletin of the American Seismological Society

A new article by the General Director of the Republican Seismic Survey Centre of ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Gurban Yetirmishli, written in collaboration with foreign seismologists, was published in the Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America 2024 - 114(2).

The article entitled “Displacement of seismicity in the Caucasian region” talks about research conducted in the direction of studying seismicity in the Caucasus region in 1951-2019. In the article, the researchers paid special attention to the seismicity of the Greater Caucasus and the Central Caspian region and the change in seismicity in this region in different years.

The article also contains ideas about the main factors influencing the increase and change in seismicity in the region.
