Sumgayit seismic station

Sumgayit city is the second largest city in the Republic of Azerbaijan after Baku. It is located 31 km north of the capital, on the Absheron peninsula, on the west coast of the Caspian Sea. Haji Zeynalabdin, Jeyranbatan, Old Chorat, Yeni Chorat, Chemists, Builders, Kotej, Yashma and Yeni Saray settlements, Green Valley, Sumgait Station, Gurd Valley, Sarigaya, Khazar Gardens residential areas, 21 microdistricts and more than 67 city quarters are included in the administrative area.
