Ordubad seismic station

Being in the territory of the Nakhchevan Autonomous Republic - Ordubad, is considered as the highest area on Small Caucasus. The highest point is the peak of Gapychyg. The area of Ordubads area makes 972,00 м2, with population more than 43200. Administrative center is the Ordubad city which is second-large in the Nakhchevan Autonomous Republic. The city of Ordubad is on the coast of Ordubadchay river, at height of 850 m above sea level, it is known since the 12th century. According to historical data this city is also known as Urdubad.
