About the station
Lankaran region located on southern-east, lying along the Lankaran lowland. According to relief, province consist of two parts: Lankaran lowland and Talish Mountains. Lankaran lowland consist from Cainozoic sea and river sendiments and Talish Mountains consist of sedimentary and volcanic rock.
Geomorphological units-Boruvar, Pestashar and Talysh ridge and Lankaran lowland. Peaks - Gomurgoy (2977 m), Giz Yurdu (2433 m).
Growing trees on Talish Mountains are known all over the world. Divalna cemetery located in Digah village belongs,by the scientist,to the Iron age. In the region also was discovered Atashgah( Temple of fire) in II century BC. In ancient time in this region lived tribes named Kaspi(Khazars).
