The RSSC provided assistance to low-income employees
Despite the continuation of the quarantine
regime announced by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan in
connection with the spread of the COVID 19 virus throughout the world, the
Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS, like some other state organizations,
continues to work with a limited number of employees.
On July 1, at the initiative of the leadership of the RSSC and with the support of the Trade Union, food assistance was provided to a group of low-income employees of the Center.
The general director of RSSC ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Gurban Yetirmishli noted that at present all countries of the world are faced with the coronavirus pandemic. “In fact, today the whole world is fighting with this virus. Despite the fact that a number of preventive measures were taken in our country to combat the virus, in Azerbaijan, unfortunately, cases of infection have been identified. Today, the government is doing everything to protect people's health. But citizens bear a great responsibility. Everyone must unconditionally comply with the requirements of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers.”
Noting that the RSSC, like a number of government organizations, continues to operate in quarantine mode, the general director again called on employees to comply with official requirements and rules. “Since our Center is the only state organization involved in the processing and scientific research of earthquakes in the country, we continue to work with a limited number of employees included in the list of state organizations that the Cabinet of Ministers is allowed to operate during the quarantine regime. For employees, conditions have been created to maintain social distance and work in accordance with sanitary and hygienic requirements. But we must follow these rules everywhere.”
The general director said that food assistance was provided by Trade Union to support low-income employees during the pandemic. It should be noted that assistance packages consisting of 15 types of food products were distributed to 24 low-income Center employees.
