The RSSC hosted a meeting with the leadership of the Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan

On June 14, a bilateral meeting with the leadership of the Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan was held at the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. The meeting was attended by general director of the RSSC ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Gurban Yetirmishli and head of the “Information” department of the Center Vusala Rafiggizi, executive director of the Azerbaijan Insurers Association Elmar Mirsalayev, advisor of the executive director of AIA Mamed Agayev and lawyer of AIA Turana Akhundova.

General director of RSSC ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Gurban Yetirmishli informed the guests about the complex seismological studies carried out at the Center, issues of bilateral cooperation between insurance companies and the Center.

Speaking about the main purpose of the meeting, executive director of the Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan Elmar Mirsalayev noted that the Republican Seismic Survey Center is one of the state bodies closely cooperating with insurance companies.

The executive director of the AIA said that there was a need to automate the interaction in document flow between insurance companies and government agencies, and some government agencies and insurance companies have already switched to this system. According to him, positive results have already been achieved in this area.

Having positively assessed the proposal, general director of RSSC ANAS Gurban Yetirmishli said that it takes time to clarify some issues related to insured events. This largely depends on the place of the insured event and its geological structure. However, the general director stressed that the proposal will be assessed and every opportunity will be used to achieve positive results in this direction.

The meeting also touched upon a number of issues of mutual interest.
