The RSSC conducted warning and collection exercises with non-militarized civil defense units

On February 1, a warning and collection exercise with non-militarized civil defense units was held at the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS.

The civil defense headquarters of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS and the headquarters of the civil defense forces were involved in the exercises.

The purpose of the event on the topic “Checking the readiness of the Civil Defense Forces in liquidating the consequences of emergency incidents” is to fulfill the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Civil Defense”, compliance with the requirements of the Civil Defense Documents of the Republic of Azerbaijan, preparation of a communication and warning system, as well as upcoming tasks during emergency situations, checking the readiness of the Civil Defense Forces, eliminating identified deficiencies.

In addition, during the exercise, the staff structure, supply and functional tasks of the Civil Defense Forces were explained in order to organize emergency rescue and other urgent work in eliminating the consequences of emergency incidents.

The executive director of the RSSC, Doctor of Philosophy in the field of technical sciences, associate professor Rauf Muradov spoke at the event about the work done in the field of Civil Defense in Azerbaijan. Rauf Muradov noted that no one is immune from accidents and natural disasters, and spoke about the need to take civil defense measures.

The chief of the civil defense headquarters of the RSSC, Azad Rzayev, told the event participants about the importance of conducting the exercise, checking the state of the warning system, as well as the work to be done to eliminate shortcomings that may appear during the exercise. Azad Rzayev emphasized the importance of increasing experience in observing the rules of conduct for personnel of non-military units when receiving a warning signal during an emergency, improving their qualifications, and bringing them to the attention of the employees of these units.

Next, the head of the Civil Defense Headquarters of the Presidium of ANAS, Ogtay Farzaliyev, spoke about natural and man-made emergencies and the possibilities of combating them.

Participants of the event were also informed about the interaction of management with the team during emergencies. During the exercise, the plan was refined, which includes civil defense measures.
