The RSSC celebrated November 8 - Victory Day
An event dedicated to November 8 - Victory Day was held at the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS. The memory of the martyrs who died for the defense of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, as well as for the liberation of the occupied lands was honored with a minute of silence.
Chairman of the RSSC trade union, head of the department "Macroseismic researches", Ph.D. in geology and mineralogy, associate professor Eytibar Garaveliyev, speaking about the Victory Day on November 8, noted that this holiday plays an exceptional role in the history of the Azerbaijani people.
"The people of Azerbaijan rallied around their president, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, like a fist, and thanks to this we won." Garaveliyev said that the employees of the Center also took part in the liberation of our lands. Children of two employees of the Center were killed. Noting that the social problems of the families of martyrs and veterans are always in the center of attention of the RSSC, Garaveliyev noted that they were provided with material assistance.
The head of the "Seismology" department, doctor of geological and mineralogical sciences, Tahir Mammadli, said that November 8 should be considered not only a victory day, but also a symbol of the unity of the Azerbaijani people. “Because in the 44-day war, the Azerbaijani people united around their Supreme Commander-in-Chief, his army, and thanks to this we crushed the enemy's head with an “iron fist” and liberated our lands. I think there is no holiday better for us than this holiday."
Deputy general director of the RSSC Ramiz Iskenderov noted that Operation Iron Fist is an innovation in world military history. "We are indebted to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, our army, our martyrs and veterans for this victory."
Employee of the Center Bakhtiyar Khanputov said that the eyes of the whole world were fixed on Azerbaijan during the 44-day war. According to him, the Azerbaijani people fought with the enemy not only at the front. During the war, an information war was also waged against us. “During the 44-day war, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, led the battles and gave interviews to the world press, informing the world about realities and truths. This holiday is inscribed in our history as the best holiday."
