The head of the RSSC department took part in the International Forum held in Russia

On October 12-13, 2023, the International Forum “Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories” was held in St.Petersburg (Russia) with the participation of representatives of the CIS member countries. More than 300 representatives of the CIS member countries took part in the event. Azerbaijan was represented by the head of the department “Dynamics of Earthquake Sources” of the RSSC ANAS, doctor of philosophy in geology and mineralogy, associate professor Sabina Kazimova.

It should be noted that within the framework of the International Forum, Kazakhstan organized a “Round Table” on the topic “Seismic Safety and Natural Disasters” at the headquarters of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.

At the round table, Sabina Kazimova, head of the RSSC department, made a report on “Seismic safety and natural disasters on the territory of Azerbaijan.”
