The general director of the RSSC was elected a member of the editorial board of the international journal

General director of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Gurban Yetirmishli was elected a member of the editorial board of the journal "Проблемы сейсмологии" ("Problems of Seismology") published by the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In this regard, the director of the Institute of Seismology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vakhob Rafikov sent a letter to the general director of the RSSC Gurban Yetirmishli.

Director of the Institute of Seismology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vakhob Rafikov proposed to send scientific articles in the field of seismology and seismic hazard assessment, as well as research in other fields of Earth sciences for publication in the journal "Проблемы сейсмологии" ("Problems of Seismology") in order to expand scientific relations and familiarize with the scientific results obtained by seismologists of the two countries. It was noted that the publication in this journal of the results of research carried out by specialists of the RSSC and other scientific institutes of the Earth Sciences in Azerbaijan allows bringing scientific achievements to the wide scientific community and assessing the current level of results.

It should be noted that the journal "Проблемы сейсмологии" ("Problems of Seismology"), published by the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, has been published twice a year since 2019. The journal publishes scientific articles on seismic hazard assessment and seismic zoning, earthquake prognosis, technogenic seismicity, seismotectonics and geodynamics, engineering seismology, seismic monitoring and related geographic information systems in all areas of geophysics related to seismology.
