RSSC specialists continue research in Kahramanmarash
A group of specialists of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS, sent to seismically hazardous areas of the fraternal Republic of Turkey, continues research in the village of Pazarchik in the city of Kahramanmarash, which is at the epicenter of earthquakes. At the site, magnetometric, gravimetric and engineering-seismic studies are carried out under the supervision of the General Director of the RSSC, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Gurban Yetirmishli.
It should be noted that the buildings in this area are currently uninhabited. The tense situation in the region will be determined as a result of a study conducted by the RSSC specialists. Also, in connection with future construction work, the deep structure of these sections will be studied and the seismicity of the area will be assessed.
Upon completion of the study, the results will be analyzed and submitted to the Department of Earthquakes of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey (AFAD).
