RSSC employees took first place at the conference held at the Baku Higher Oil School
The Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) hosted an award ceremony for students and young researchers who took part in the V International Scientific Conference dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev.
Rector of the Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov, who spoke at the ceremony, said that 517 abstracts from 55 institutions were sent to the conference. Of these, 384 were accepted. 58 of them were submitted from foreign countries. At the V International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists, the topics “Towards sustainable chemistry and chemical engineering”, “INFOTECH 2024” and “Geology and engineering of oil and gas” were discussed.
It should be noted that the conference was also attended by employees of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS. RSSC was represented by Narmin Takhlatly, Gulasar Askerova, Turan Yusifova and Melek Shikhaliyeva under the supervision of the head of the department “Dynamics of Earthquake Sources”, PhD in Geology and Mineralogy, Associate Professor Sabina Kazimova.
Based on the voting results of the members of the organizing committee, the report “Analysis of the activation of the Lokbatan mud volcano in 2022 using the Seiscomp program” (authors: N.Takhlatly, M.Shikhaliyeva and T.Yusifova) took first place, the report “Analysis of the earthquake of February 6, 2023 in Turkey and the activation of earthquake sources in the Azerbaijani part of the Caspian Sea” took second place (authors: N.Takhlatly and G. Askerova).
The winners were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts.
