Research of RSSC employees in seismic region of Turkey continues

Employees of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS, who are on a visit to the fraternal Republic of Turkey, have begun research in the area of the earthquake.

 A group of specialists under the supervision of the General Director of the RSSC, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Gurban Yetirmishli first visited the area of the first earthquake that occurred on February 6 - the area called Pazarchik in Gaziantep, the balkarian village of Adiyaman (where there was a 4-meter shift on the surface of the earth), began research in Golchubashi (inspection of inclined buildings) and in Kahramanmarash.

The employees of the Center installed one magnetometric reference station in Kahramanmarash. In addition, sites were selected where magnetometric, gravimetric and engineering seismic studies will be carried out along the profiles on which new buildings will be built in Pazarchik.

Research conducted by the employees of the RSSC in the seismically hazardous region of the fraternal country continues.
