Representatives of the Azerbaijan-French University visited RSSC
On April 3, a meeting with representatives of the Azerbaijan-French University was held at the Monitoring Center of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS. The meeting was attended by the General Director of the Republican Seismic Survey Center, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Gurban Yetirmishli, Executive Director, Doctor of Philosophy in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Rauf Muradov, head of the "Earthquake Research Bureau", Ph.D. in Earth Sciences Saida Ismayilova, head of the department "Dynamics of Earthquake Sources", Ph.D. in Geology-Mineralogy, Associate Professor Sabina Kazimova, head of the department "Geodynamics", Ph.D. in Geology-Mineralogy, Associate Professor Ilyas Kazimov, head of the department "International Relations" Telman Djafarov, head of the department "Information” Vusala Rafiggyzy, employee of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of the Ministry of Science and Education, Doctor of Earth Sciences Gulam Babayev, coordinator of geosciences at the Azerbaijan-French University (UFAZ) Clara Jodry, Professor of Seismology at the University of Strasbourg Alessia Maigi, and executive director of the Azerbaijan-French University (UFAZ) Yelizaveta Biydanova, teacher of geosciences at UFAZ, doctoral student at the University of Strasbourg, Zaur Bayramov.
Welcoming the guests at the meeting, the General Director of the RSSC, Professor Gurban Yetirmishli noted that there is cooperation between the Azerbaijan-French University and the RSSC, that students of the university are undergoing an internship at the RSSC. The General Director of the RSSC informed the guests about the complex seismological and geophysical research carried out at the Center and said that the Center closely cooperates with the world's leading universities, as well as local universities to ensure the integration of science and education.
At the meeting, UFAZ representatives expressed their interest in further expanding relations between the university and the Center. Also, the possibility of conducting joint research in the field of studying earthquakes is not ruled out.
In conclusion, UFAZ teacher Zaur Bayramov made a presentation on the use of artificial intelligence in the study of earthquakes.
Other issues of interest were also clarified at the meeting.
