Professor of Victoria University (Canada) Tuna Onur visited the Azerbaijan Research Institute of Construction and Architecture

On October 24, Professor of Victoria University (Canada) Tuna Onur who is visiting Azerbaijan, visited the Azerbaijan Research Institute of Construction and Architecture. The meeting was attended by the director of the institute Abdi Garayev, deputy director Nizami Yusifov, head of the laboratory Rovshan Rzayev, head of the "Macroseismic Research" department of the RSSC ANAS, Ph.D. in Geology and Mineralogy, Associate Professor Eytibar Garaveliyev, as well as the employees of the RSSC Ilhama Djalilova and Firuza Mehdizade.

Professor of Victoria University (Canada) Tuna Onur  spoke about the methods currently used in the field of seismic risk assessment in countries around the world, and gave information about her research in this area and the latest results obtained.

During the meeting, the importance of adapting the Construction Norms and Rules in the seismic regions of Azerbaijan to international standards was emphasized. The parties noted the need for joint cooperation between the RSSC ANAS, AZ IMETI and the Canadian University.
