New seismic station of RSSC was installed in Tovuz

The installation of seismic stations in Azerbaijan continues within the framework of the Seismic Network Expansion in the Caucasus and Central Asia project, which is being implemented with the support of the Scientific and Technical Center of Ukraine.

Employees of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS completed the installation of a seismic station in Tovuzdistrict.

It should be noted that the employees of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS carried out preliminary foundation work for the installation of seismic stations in Ismayilli and Dashkesandistricts. Currently, work is underway to install seismic stations in both districts and around mud volcanoes.

Note that 22 seismic stations will be installed in Azerbaijan within the framework of the Seismic Network Expansion in the Caucasus and Central Asia project. Thus, the number of operating seismic stations in the country will reach 84.
