General director of RSSC met with Luciano Telesca

Member of the National Research Council of Italy, Professor of the Institute of methodologies for environmental analysis (IMAA), Luciano Telesca, who was on a working visit to Azerbaijan, met with academician-secretary of the Division of Earth Sciences of ANAS, academician Fakhraddin Gadirov and general director of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Gurban Yetirmishli. The meeting was attended by employees of the Institute of geology and geophysics of ANAS - doctor of geological and mineralogical sciences Rafik Safarov, doctor of geological-mineralogical sciences Gulam Babayev, head of the department “Dynamics of earthquake sources”, doctor of philosophy of geological-mineralogical sciences, docent Sabina Kazimova.

The guest was informed about the seismological studies conducted in Azerbaijan and the obtained results.

Luciano Telesca praised the activities of the Azerbaijani seismologists and noted that the studies conducted here are of great interest.

The sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation in the field of seismology between Italy and Azerbaijan and the implementation of joint projects in the future.
