General director of RSSC held a press conference

General director of the RSSC, corresponding member of ANAS Gurban Yetirmishli held a press conference for journalists at the Bureau of Earthquake Research of the RSSC ANAS in connection with the Agsu and Ismailli earthquake on February 5, 2019.

At the press conference, Gurban Yetirmishli told about the seismic situation in the earthquake zone, observations made in the area after tremors, and the current situation. After the earthquake, more than 130 aftershocks were recorded, indicating a continuing process in the area. The general director also clarified the sensation of the Ismayilli earthquake in Baku. Noting that the geological structure of Baku is complex, Yetirmishli said that the recent earthquake was weakly felt in some parts of the Yasamal, Khatai and Nasimi regions.
