GEANT specialists visited the Republican Seismic Survey Center

GEANT international project manager Veronika Di Luna, research specialist Chris Atherton and procurement specialist Rita Mazeikaite visited the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS. The meeting was attended by the system administrator of RSSC Rugiya Kerimova, head of “Dynamics of earthquake sources” department Sabina Kazimova, and others.

The guests were informed about the complex seismological, geophysical, geodynamic and geochemical studies conducted by the RSSC.

It was noted that with the support of GEANT in the provision of information resources of the RSSC AzScienceNet is used by the network of computer sciences. At the same time, the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS has combined the network infrastructure of the Center with the national Eduroam server located in AzScienceNet data center.

Noting that the European Commission is closely related to seismological research in Azerbaijan, the guests praised the work done.
