Eric Sandvol, professor at the University of Missouri, visited Azerbaijan

Eric Sandvol, professor at the University of Missouri (USA) visited Azerbaijan. The purpose of the visit is related to the joint research work on the project "Caucasian Transect". On November 24, an American seismologist visited the Monitoring Center of the RSSC ANAS. Eric Sandvol met with the General Director of the Republican Seismic Survey Center, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Gurban Yetirmishli. During the meeting, issues related to the work done and the upcoming tasks within the framework of the "Caucasian Transect" project were discussed. Telman Djafarov, head of the International Relations department of the RSSC, also took part in the discussions.

Also during his visit, the American seismologist conducted a training for employees of the Bureau of Earthquake Research and the department of Dynamics of Earthquake Sources.

It should be noted that E. Sandvol will also visit Ismayilli, Aghdjabedi, Fizuli (Alkhanly village), Udjar and Hadjigabul districts, where the project "Caucasian Transect" is being implemented.

The visit of Eric Sandvol will last until November 27.
