Employees of RSSC found a landslide process in the earthquake zone
Employees
of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS, continuing seismic exploration
in the Ismailly and Agsu regions in connection with the earthquake occurred on
February 5, 2019, discovered a landslide process in the Shamakhi region.
In the course of the research, landslide activity in the Shamakhi region in the direction of the Gizmeydan road was noted. It should be noted that on an asphalt road near the first identified landslide zone there appeared cracks of 5-10 millimeters. In addition, at the edge of the road there are 15-25 mm deposits and the ongoing process of sliding.
On the asphalt surface of the second part of the road there are cracks of 5-10 mm and a 20-30 cm crack on the side of the road. Also on the Agsu passage there are cracks and deposits on the 154 km of the road.
In addition, the RSSC staff continues to conduct comprehensive studies of tension in the epicenter of the earthquake. Currently, seismic and geophysical studies are continuing in various directions.
The public will be informed in detail about the research results.
The following are photographs from the landslide zone.
