Employee of the RSSC, who showed high results in the English language courses organized by the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, was awarded two certificates

The “Virtual EL Educator” program to improve the academic writing skills of young researchers in English, in order to improve international ranking indicators related to scientific publications, organized by the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) with the support of the Embassy of the United States of America (USA) in Azerbaijan within the framework of the project “2022-ci il üzrə Yol Xəritəsi”, has ended.
The first semester of Erin Carl's American Teacher Online Course was organized in October-December 2022, and the second semester in March-May 2023. In the first semester, 90 young researchers took part, and in the second semester, 50 people who showed better results were selected. It should also be noted that during the course, in addition to listening, reading, speaking and writing skills, academic writing, communication, information exchange and presentation skills were taught.
An event was held at the Central Scientific Library of ANAS to award certificates to young people who successfully completed the course.
The event was attended by Academician Arif Hashimov, Acting First Vice-President of ANAS, Salman Haji, Advisor for Culture and Education of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, Sabina Abdullayeva, English Language Program Coordinator, Director of the Department of External and Public Relations of the Institute of Physics of the Ministry of Science and Education, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics Rustam Rustamov, Director of the Department of International Relations of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology, Associate Professor Esmira Alirzayeva and other employees.
At the event, young people who successfully completed the course were awarded certificates and a memorable photo was taken. Narmin Takhlatli, an employee of the seismic station "Baku" of the RSSC ANAS, was awarded two certificates by the organizers of the program for high results in both semesters of the English language course.
