Baku to host an international conference of seismologists dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev

On June 6-9, 2023, Baku will host the VII International Conference "Seismology and Engineering Seismology", organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev. The conference will be attended by local seismologists and specialists, as well as from foreign countries, officials of a number of government agencies, President of the Turkish Council for Scientific and Technical Research (TUBITAK) Hasan Mandal, the leadership of ANAS, heads of scientific institutions and organizations, as well as rectors of higher educational institutions.

It should be noted that the opening ceremony of the conference will be held on June 6, 2023 at 11:00 in the Shusha Hall of the Central Scientific Library of ANAS (Address: Baku city, H.Javid Avenue, 129). Within the framework of the conference, a visit of scientists and seismologists from foreign countries to the city of Shusha is also planned.
