Azerbaijani and Russian seismologists to conduct joint research in the Caspian Sea region

  General director of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Gurban Yetirmishli took part in discussions on the “Mineral and Raw Material Base of the Caspian Region” organized by the Russian State Geological Prospecting Universitynamed after Sergo Ordzhonikidze of the Russian Federation Ministry of education and science.

  During the visit, the general director of the RSSC held several meetings on the prospects for bilateral cooperation.  An agreement on scientific and technical cooperation was also signed between the Russian State Geological Prospecting University named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze and the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS.  The document was signed by the rector of the Russian State Geological Prospecting University named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze, Vadim Kosyanov, and the general director of the RSSC of ANAS, Gurban Yetirmishli.  The agreement provides for the expansion of relations in the framework of bilateral cooperation, the implementation of mutual exchange of experience, joint research of the Caspian Sea, the study of environmental risks.
