American seismologists visited Guba district as part of the "Caucasian transect" project

Professor of the University of Missouri Eric Sandvol and a researcher of the University Oguzhan Yalvadj, who are on a visit to Azerbaijan, together with the employees of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS Azer Iskenderov and Amirkhan Abbasov visited Guba district.

The purpose of the visit is to carry out technical inspection and maintenance of seismic stations installed in selected areas within the framework of the project, as well as processing data collected from the stations.

It should be noted that the project "Caucasian transect" covers Guba, Udjar, Aghdjabadi, Hadjigabul and Ismayilli districts.

Joint research will last until June 8.
