A press conference was held at the RSSC
On April 19, a press conference was held at the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS on the research conducted by Azerbaijani specialists in the seismically hazardous region of the fraternal Republic of Turkey. General Director of the RSSC, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Gurban Yetirmishli said that the employees of the Center conducted gravimetric, magnetometric, seismic engineering and macroseismic studies in the city of Kahramanmarash, which was most affected by the earthquake in the Turkish region, and in the city of Pazarchik, which became the epicenter of the earthquake. The data collected in the area is currently being analyzed. After the studies are completed, the results will be presented in the form of a report to the Department of Earthquakes of the of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey.
At the press conference, the General Director also informed about the seismic stations to be installed in Karabakh, as well as about the holding of an international conference in June this year in Baku on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev.
