A meeting on the project "Seismic network expansion in the Caucasus and Central Asia" was held
On July 21, another online meeting was held with the participation of representatives of the partner countries participating in the project “Seismic network expansion in the Caucasus and Central Asia”. Reports on the work done within the framework of the project were presented at the meeting.
Telman Djafarov, head of the International Relations Department of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS, said in his speech that 21 out of 22 new seismic stations brought to Azerbaijan within the framework of the project have already been fully installed. Noting that after the installation work, the process of receiving signals from the stations began, the head of the department said that data from 12 new seismic stations had been transferred to the RSSC Monitoring Center. According to him, work is currently underway to ensure data transmission from other stations.
It should be noted that the meeting also discussed the processing of data received from new stations and other issues.
