A meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council was held at the RSSC

On February 24, a meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council was held at the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS. General Director of RSSC ANAS, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Gurban Yetirmishli informed the participants about the issues on the agenda. During his speech, the General Director, having talked about the research currently being carried out at the Center and the upcoming tasks, also informed about the work carried out in the direction of improving the training of personnel. 

Further, the head of the "International Relations" department Telman Djafarov spoke about the preparations for the VII International Conference "Seismology and Engineering Seismology", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev, the head of the department "Dynamics of earthquake sources", Ph.D. in geology and mineralogy, associate professor Sabina Kazimova spoke about the terrible earthquake that occurred in Turkey on February 6, 2023 and about the seismic situation in Azerbaijan, the work of 22 new digital stations installed as part of an international grant project, Gulnara Alkhanova, head of the “Education” department, made a report on educational programs in special subjects and foreign language courses for RSSC employees, chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the RSSC, Afag Samadzade, made a presentation on the work plan of the masters working at the Center. The meeting also discussed the issue of a partial change in the composition of the Scientific and Technical Council. A.Samedzade, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the RSSC, was elected a member of the Scientific and Technical Council.
