A meeting of the Earth Sciences Section was held at RSSC

On March 2 was held a meeting of the Earth Sciences Section of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS. The meeting discussed the annual plan for holding scientific seminars of the RSSC in 2022.

The event was attended by the executive director of the RSSC, doctor of philosophy in technical sciences, associate professor Rauf Muradov, head of the “Seismology” department, doctor of geological and mineralogical sciences Tahir Mammadli, head of the “Scientific directions of complex researches” department, doctor of philosophy in physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor Azay Rzayev, deputy head of the "Earthquake research Bureau" Rugiya Kerimova, head of the "Dynamics of earthquake sources" department, doctor of philosophy in geology and mineralogy, associate professor Sabina Kazimova, head of the "Geodynamics" department, doctor of philosophy in geology and mineralogy, associate professor Ilyas Kazimov, head of the "International relations" department Telman Djafarov, as well as members of the Earth Sciences Section of the Center, heads of departments and researchers.

According to the head of the "Seismology" department, doctor of geological and mineralogical sciences Tahir Mammadli, the Center conducts complex seismological, geophysical and geodynamic studies. In the future, the section will discuss the reports presented on the results of the study.

At the seminar, a report was made by: Ilkhama Djalilova, junior researcher of the department of "Engineering geology and seismic microzoning" of the RSSC - "Engineering-geological and engineering-seismic conditions of construction sites on the territory of the Absheron region", junior researcher of the Baku Station Gunay Bakdamirova - "Evaluation of stress situation on the territory of Karabakh based on the kinematic parameter TAU", junior researcher of the department "Engineering Geology" Sevindj Guluzade - "Determination of the engineering and geological conditions of the Yasamal and Khatai regions", junior researcher of the department "Macroseismic researches" Farida Agakishiyeva - "Seismological instruments for recording earthquakes on the territory of the republic and the principle of their work”, senior researcher of the department “Magnitometry” Nadirshakh Khanbabayev - “Peculiarities of changes in seismomagnetic impact during earthquakes in the Shamakhi-Ismayilli zone”.

The meeting ended with a discussion of the presented reports.
